Your easiest course of action may be to return the card for another manufacturer. They should be able to help you get the card installed. However, a driver CD should have come with the adapter card. What should I do?

My PC recognizes at the startup a new hardware if I delete belkin desktop network pci card drivers. I believe I did everything I could to make it work. I do have the latest driver from their installation disk. Where exactly in the installation process does it fail?
I couldn’t get it work though, so I updated it with the installation CD that came with the card year and got again the same problem red x over the adapter. It does install, however as I check the adapter fields in the Device Manager, the adapter symbol will have a red x over.
You other option is to troubleshoot why the card is not installing properly. Some network cards only support Win98 Second Edition and higher operating systems. How can I get the system drivers?

I am tempted to return the card to the store and buy another brand if there is no such a thing as system drivers from Belkin desktop network pci card for Belkin products, but a problem by Belking failing to support Windows 98 with their product.
